What This Business Is All About
Gardening is one of the UK's most popular hobbies and appeals to millions of people. These people are
passionate about their gardens. Yet very few of them want to grow the plants themselves.
So every week they visit their local garden centre and spend between £5 and £50 buying things
like compost, garden tools, pots, etc. But they spend most of their money buying plants. And it's not
unusual for an average size garden centre to take £20,000 in a single weekend - just from selling
plants!
Yet, what people don't realise is, most garden centres don't actually grow the plants they sell. They
buy them from huge wholesale nurseries, often located hundreds of miles away in Europe! Places like Holland,
Spain and many of the Eastern Bloc countries.
Plants they sell for £5 - they can buy wholesale for £2.10. And many of these wholesalers
don't grow the plants either. They purchase them from growers for £1.00 or less.
This means they can be grown in soil conditions totally different to the UK and then transported for days
before they reach our shores. This can take its toll on the health of the plants. And it's not good for
the eco-environment! A recent survey by the Horticultural Trades Association reveals gardeners would prefer
to buy locally grown plants and are prepared to pay up to 20% more. So imagine if you offer these gardeners
EXACTLY whet they want.
What's more - plants sell themselves. Large DIY stores sell millions of plants employing people with no
knowledge. So you don't need to know anything about gardening or be a salesperson. And you don't need
fancy garden centre premises. Gardeners will buy from anywhere. I'll show you how!
You Can Share My Success
The first question most people ask me is - if this business is so good - why would you be prepared to
share it with anyone else?
The answer is simple. I have found an easy to start, proven business - but this is a local business. All
of my customers live within 10 miles of my town. So if I teach you how to copy my business in your town,
it will not affect me at all.
In fact, it will make things better, because working together as a network of people we can share ideas,
find unusual plants not sold in garden centres, anyone who grows plants can exchange or sell them wholesale
to other members and we can combine our buying power to make us a force to be reckoned with. Think of
the publicity we can generate. We will become a market leader. And you have the chance to become part
of this success.
Should You Grow Or Should You Buy?
There are two ways to run this business. Some people will want to grow the plants themselves. Others will
prefer to buy from local growers. Both ways work very well and I can help you decide which is right for
you.
The course includes all the best contacts and places to buy locally grown plants for less than £1.
We also teach you which plants sell best and how you can grow the plants yourself at a cost of about 25
pence!
Another Reason Why This Is Different
This business allows you to "go to work" in jeans and without the need to wear a tie. Smart but casual
is acceptable. And the atmosphere is always relaxed. Gardeners are extremely nice people to deal with.
For them plants are a passion and gardening is an enjoyable hobby.
You can also expect a large number of repeat customers. At every sale I notice familiar faces and many
bring along their friends and family. I've even had a gardener bring his customer along to choose the
plants to put in his garden.
Customers are generous with their information and I am learning more about plants by listening to them
than from reading gardening books. I find their enthusiasm rubs off on me.
And gardeners have money to spend. They come along, see the plants they want, have a chat, hand over the
cash and say goodbye, see you next time.
This is why my one-day plants sales are such an amazing success. You can make up to £1,400 a week
- working part-time. It's like printing money.
Review:
Normally, I'm sceptical about claims that anything sells itself. In this case, however, there's no reason
to doubt it. Go and have a look at www.GardenProfits.co.uk for yourself and see if you agree.
It's also one of the most promising new opportunities I have seen for some time - new, but simple, down-to-earth
and proven.
The owner, Lee Wood, has 36 years of business experience, and he runs a Locally Grown Plants business
himself. So does a person he taught who runs it in Scotland.
A business like this would often be sold in the format of a franchise, costing £10,000 or £20,000.
This one costs just £571.55, although after three months you also pay a monthly fee of £29.97
to cover the ongoing support and advertising which you receive as a licensee.
In addition to a licence to
run the business in your own postcode area, also included in the package is one day of face-to-face training
to start you off, your own printed business stationery, a complete marketing kit and your own Locally
Grown Plants website hosted for one year.
Lee shows you how you can get your business up and running in days, including things like opening a business
bank account, getting registered for tax and VAT and a simple system for your paperwork.
Also included are manuals and DVDs you can use for reference at home. In one of the DVDs you stand at
Lee's side at one of his plant sales so you can see exactly what he does and how he does it, right down
to counting the money at the end.
Probably the main benefit, though, is access to Lee Wood's years of marketing experience. You run your
business with the Locally Grown Plants company name and image, and you simply follow his tried and tested
marketing system to attract customers.
This is a rare opportunity to set up a part-time business which can nearly give you a full-time income.
And it's not such as a seasonal business as you might think - Lee Wood runs his business for 9 months
of the year, including the run-up to Christmas.
In addition to the money to buy the business, you'll need around £500 for starting stock and expenses.
To transport your plants to your plant sales a small van would be much better than a car. The simplest
solution is just to hire a van for the day.
To make a success of it, you need to have the commitment to work at it regularly and you need to be prepared
to follow the system as instructed - don't miss out bits of it or go off doing your own thing.
You need to be interested in plants, but you don't need to be knowledgeable about them because Lee teaches
you what you need to know.
If you're interested, then
follow this up quickly in case someone else gets your postcode area. Although it's true that other people
could set up similar businesses in your locality, they are unlikely to be able to do it so quickly or
successfully as you can with the tested Locally Grown Plants formula.
This could be a suitable business for you if you are tied to the house for most of the time but you can
make arrangements to get away at weekends e.g. if you are a mothers who get a babysitter for your plant
sales days.
